I’m thinking of making a Traveler’s Notebook style notebook for myself as wallet and notebook in one.

Requirements

• must fit comfortably into my handbag
• should fit into a jacket or pant pocket in a sinch
• must fit at least ~6-8 cards
• must have place for paper money and coins
• should have place for other documents
  • something like the kraft paper pocket insert should be enough
  • or the plastic sticker
  • or something sewn in
• should have place for other nic-nacs
  • the plastic zipper insert should be enough
• must fit at least 2 inserts comfortably (3’d be better)
• should fit even more inserts if needed temporarily
• should be easy and quick to open
• stuff should not fall out
• must be able to lay flat in front of myself when working on the PC without getting in the way
• should look nice
• should be vegan if feasible

  • I saw wallets made out of cork like this in a store, felt quite nice
  • how durable is it?
  • supposedly very easy to sew
• maybe a flap with a magnet or a button holding the notebook shut?

  • or no button, just magnets behind the material? should look fancy and be easy to open
